Get off at Kenkun Jinja-mae Bus Stop and walk a short distance west along Kitaōji Street. At the intersection you should see a stone signpost for Kenkun Shrine (建勲神社). Turn left and proceed south down Funaoka Higashi-dōri street for three minutes and you should see the shrine’s large torii gate. You will arrive at the shrine after climbing 120 stone steps from the torii gate. Not including traffic light waiting times, it should take approximately 9 minutes to walk from the bus stop.

Get off at Funaokayama Bus Stop and walk a short distance east along Kitaōji Street. At the southwest side of the intersection with Imamiya Shrine’s large torii gate you should see a signpost for Kenkun Shrine (建勲神社). When you turn right you should see Mt. Funaoka. Proceed south towards Mt. Funaoka and when you see the path leading up the mountain take the left fork. You will arrive at the shrine after climbing approximately fifty stone steps. Not including traffic light waiting times, it should take approximately 9 minutes to walk from the bus stop.
